The Camden County Sheriff’s Office will have a noticeable presence on Halloween night. A grant through Missouri Highway Safety for DWI enforcement will allow extra deputies to be on the street looking for those that have are under the influence and operating a motor vehicle. The deputies will not only be looking for those under the influence but those drivers who by their driving are causing a danger to other motorists and pedestrians. Sheriff Franklin reminds motorists that on Halloween night families are out moving along streets on foot and extra vigilance when driving is vitally important.
The Reserve Division of the Uniform Patrol Bureau will also be out on Halloween night working along with Missouri Probation and Parole to check on registered sex offenders in Camden County. The deputies will go to the registered addresses in order to make certain the offender is in compliance with pertinent state statutes. Missouri Probation and Parole will be in the field with the deputies to take any actions needed if violations are discovered.
