Traffic Stop Drug Arrest

On May 23, 2014, a Camden County Street Crimes deputy stopped a semi for exceeding the posted speed limit. The deputy became suspicious while speaking with the driver. The deputy asked for consent to search the vehicle which was granted. During the search approximately ½ gram of crack cocaine was seized from the cab of the semi.

Marty Ray Cantrell, 52, of St Robert, Missouri was arrested and charged with a Class C Felony of possession of a controlled substance, Class A Misdemeanor of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, Class B Misdemeanor operated a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner and Class C Misdemeanor of exceeded posted speed limit by 16-19 MPH. Cantrell is currently being held in the Camden County Adult Detention facility on a $2,000.00 cash only bond.
