On 12/31/2015 at approximately 8:00 pm, deputies from this department conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Bittersweet Road and Briarwood Road in Lake Ozark.  

 

The driver of the vehicle, later identified as 17 year old Mikayla D Young of Lake Ozark, gave permission for deputies to search the vehicle. The search of the vehicle revealed methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Both Young and the male passenger denied ownership of the contraband.

 

Young and her male passenger were transported to the Camden County Adult Detention Facility where she admitted to the contraband items belonging to her. She is charged with the Class C Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance and is being held without bond. Young will appear before the court on February 2nd, 2016.

 

The male passenger was released from the jail without charges.
