Sheriff’s Office to Assist With Bridge and Dam Half-Marathon and 10K

03/24/2016

Motorists driving in the Lake Ozark area the morning of April 2nd will notice an increase in foot traffic. This is due to the 2016 Bridge and Dam Half-Marathon and 10K put on by the Lake of the Ozarks Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The race will start at 7:30 a.m. at the Bagnell Dam and will continue down the Lake Ozark Strip and across the Community Bridge. Race participants will run through the Porta Cima area and then back across the Community Bridge and onto the strip for a downhill finish.

Deputies from the Camden County Sheriff’s Office are working with the Lake Ozark Police Department to ensure the safety of all race participants and to ensure the smooth flow of vehicle traffic. The Lake Ozark Police Department will be closing the dam to vehicle traffic at 6:30 a.m., so motorists are advised to find a different route or be prepared to detour and follow the directions of the officers on scene.

All of the proceeds of the race will go to benefit the Lake of the Ozarks Fellowship of Christian Athletes, allowing local athletes to directly benefit from this event.
