Lieutenant Arlyne Paige of the Camden County Sheriff's Office has been certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Childsafe to inspect child safety seats for compliance with federal standards.

Citizens are welcome to bring their child safety seats to the sheriff's office for inspection during regular business hours. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment.

Inspection includes:

• Proper fit for child and vehicle
• Seat is undamaged and safe
• Seat is not out of warranty
• Belts and belt paths are correct and undamaged
• There are no active recalls on the seat model

General education on proper usage is also available.
