UPDATE - The arrestee is identified as 24-year-old, Joshua N. Seevers, of Camdenton. He is being held at the Camden County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond. Charges: Robbery 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action, Burglary 1st Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
UPDATE – On the afternoon of May 10, 2017, a 24-year-old, w/m from the Camdenton area was arrested in conjunction with the Robbery. Suspect being held in the Camden County Detention Center. A Probable Cause Affidavit is being prepared. The name of the arrestee is being withheld pending formal charges.
For Immediate Release May 9, 2017 – On 5/9/2017 at approximately 10:35 am, Camden County Communications received a 911 call reference a robbery just occurred at a residence located on Claremont Ridge Road, Camden County, Mo.
A female occupant of the residence was inside while a female friend and children were outside. A male subject, driving an early 2000 model dark grey 4 door sedan, drove into the driveway and approached the female in the yard. He was said to be brandishing an unknown type knife. The suspect, described as a white male, wearing a stocking cap and dark colored bandana handkerchief, demanded money from the victim #1. Victim #1 had no money. The suspect took a cell phone from Victim #1. Suspect took Victim #1 into the residence where Victim #2 and the children were located. A teenager, ran from the residence, entered her vehicle and left the area, returning sometime later. The suspect asked Victim #2 for money. According to Victim #2, she attempted to grab the knife from the suspect. The suspect attempted to grab a cell phone from Victim #2, and left the residence in the aforementioned vehicle. Victim #1’s phone was discarded and found in the yard of a neighbor.
Initial information is that the suspect was a white male, possibly 18 to 20 years of age, 5’10” – 6’, approximately 160 – 170 pounds, blue eyes, freckles and possibly sandy brown hair. The suspect was reported to be wearing a purple and tan shirt, blue zip up hoodie, baggy tan pants.
No one was injured. Anyone with information should contact your local Police or Sheriff’s Department.
